Hello World, my name is James and I was born and raised just under an hour’s drive of San Francisco in sunny California. As you can see from my blog, I then proceeded to grow up and complete a BA in Political Science at the University of California Santa Barbara and an MA in European Legal Studies at the Universität Hamburg in no place other than Hamburg, Germany. I now live in Canterbury, England and study at the world renowned University of Kent “Britain’s European University” and will complete a MA in International Conflict Analysis after a second upcoming year of study in Brussels, Belgium.
This page is dedicated to sharing my travels and experiences from all over the world. I want to share the stories, pictures, jokes, reviews, and cultural tidbits that I acquire as I come of age in this globalized world. And, while they do not happen often or always, I will also update on my sightings of and encounters with celebrities at cultural events, concerts, and film festivals throughout the world. A-List or not.
I speak English and German and hope to expand that to include at least French and Dutch by the end of my current study program. While I love adventure, I am also very keen on my studies, so, this blog will also contain stories of my experience as a student living in a flat with flatmates from all over Europe.
What would be my goals and/or future ambitions?
Following the conclusion of my studies, I am considering making a world tour through Africa, Asia, the South West Pacific and Latin America as a medium term goal. At the very least, I think it would be a wonderful experience to live in Asia and teach English, or move to Argentina for a few months to learn Spanish.
And in the long run besides the possibility of completing a PhD or JD degree, I would love to be able to continue to travel as much as possible and step into a career either in Washington DC or Europe that would enable me to see as much of this world as I can throughout my entire lifetime. I believe that traveling can be a lifestyle, and that it is so much more than something that should be reserved for one out of two weeks of vacation time in a year.
I would be overjoyed to receive any tips and advice on travel, or requests for more information about places I have been that you would like to hear more about. This blog is my fun and creative outlet whilst I study my –hopefully– last couple of years of school. Thank you for visiting my page and I hope above all else this page will get you, the reader, to become inspired and spread your wings, take off, and fly. See all this world has to offer and share it with others so that they can build dreams too. See you on the road!!!
